A fine cased pair of English turn-over percussion pistols; about 1845; 8 mm calibre; 45 mm case hardened barrels; the frame engraved LACY & CO LONDON (Lacy & Co who worked in London 1822-1853); 148 mm total length; engraved and case hardened actions and hammers; engraved sliding safeties; blued trigger-guards; excellent chequered rounded butts with German silver escutcheons; London proof marks;
in its original lined and fitted fine mahogany case with the original key; with some accessories, including a very fine and small podwer flask; the interior of the lid with the original trade label of Lacy & Reynolds.
A very fine and nice original set. The pistols are smaller than the most like this.
