A rare licensed Adams self cocking percussion revolver; .45 calibre, made about 1855; blued and engraved barrel, frame and cylinder; the barrel signed LEPAGE MOUTHIER A PARIS (son-in-law of Henri Lepage, took over his business in 1842 at 8 rue de Richelieu, Paris); on the right side ADAMâ??S PATENT NO. 11948, five shot cylinder; very fine relief carved ebony grip; fine engraved and blued but cap; blued trigger guard and trigger; fitted in itâ??s original case lined with bordeaux velvet; fine accessories include a nice powder flask, correct double cavity tailed bullet mould, nipple wrench, cleaning rods.
