A cased pair of English officers percussion pistols about 1845; original browned barrels with linked ramrods, engraved Williams & Powell Liverpool, about .52 caliber; smooth bore; the barrels retain nearly 100% of their brown finish; the locks, tangs and hammers show the majority of their case hardening just dulling slightly; blued trigger guards; blued ramrod pipes; casehardened butt caps; grips with sharp checkering; The pair are contained within their original to-the-period green felt lined partition case. The top of the case shows original label reading "Williams & Powell, Successors to the late Patrick, Gunmaker to His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester, 25 S. Castle Street (Late Pool Lane), Liverpool"; original flask and mold with most of the blue, a marine ivory cap box.

A fabulous pair of percussion pistols from a well known gun maker in Liverpool; in this condition hard to find.
